We have successfully commissioned first 4 units of Dressta biggest crawler dozers TD-40E Extra at a remote mine site in the heart of Indonesian Borneo. The machines were first transported to the port of Banjarmasin on LCT-s, and then loaded onto smaller barges, which took them for a 5-day journey up the Barito River.
Dressta Asia Pacific, assisted by its Indonesian distributor MDI, are providing a 24-hour service for the coking coal mine operated by Borneo Group. Parts depot and a workshop were established making it possible for three teams of Dressta mechanics to keep the machines working around the clock. At the initial stage, the machines have been applied to land clearing and road building. After the mine infrastructure is ready, the TD-40E Extra will get to stripping overburden, but not ripping or dozing the coal, since the physical properties of the coking coal make it impossible to be handled by bulldozers.
