History

The company was established in 1978 as International Harvester Singapore Pte. Ltd., with responsibility of meeting service parts requirements of IH's expanding penetration of the industrial and construction equipment markets in the region.

Singapore's strategic location at the crossroads of trade and communication, its first-class sea and airport facilities make it the ideal base for distribution operations geared to the Asia-Pacific countries. Thanks to these factors the Singapore subsidiary has survived numerous changes of ownership of its original parent company - International Harvester and continued to provide parts and service support to distributors and end-users of equipment branded International Harvester, Dresser, HSW, Dressta - all stemming from the IH line.

In 1995 the company became part of Dressta Co. Ltd, a joint venture marketing organization founded by Komatsu-Dresser Company and Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. In 2007 it changed name from Conequipco Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd to Dressta Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.
