TD-40E Extra In A Full Maintenance Contract On Borneo

We have successfully commissioned first 4 units of Dressta biggest crawler dozers TD-40E Extra at a remote mine site in the heart of Indonesian Borneo. The machines were first transported to the port of Banjarmasin on LCT-s, and then loaded onto smaller barges, which took them for a 5-day journey up the Barito River.

Dressta Asia Pacific, assisted by its Indonesian distributor MDI, are providing a 24-hour service for the coking coal mine operated by Borneo Group. Parts depot and a workshop were established making it possible for three teams of Dressta mechanics to keep the machines working around the clock. At the initial stage, the machines have been applied to land clearing and road building. After the mine infrastructure is ready, the TD-40E Extra will get to stripping overburden, but not ripping or dozing the coal, since the physical properties of the coking coal make it impossible to be handled by bulldozers.

Dressta At The APIA Exhibition

On Oct. 11-15th, 2008 Dressta Asia Pacific and its Australian distributor – International Machinery Services – participated in the exhibition organized in Perth by The Australian Pipeline Industry Association Ltd. The exhibition accompanied APIA’s 40th annual conference gathering most of the industry players – contractors, suppliers, and representatives of regulatory authorities.

A series of advertisements in The Australian Pipeliner magazine preceded Dressta appearance in Perth.

Dressta mid size bulldozers, especially in TD-15M and TD-20M classes, have long been popular with Australian contractors and farmers, but it was the first time that Dressta line of pipelayers was presented to the Australian pipeline industry. We received very positive feedback for the safety features incorporated in the machines as well as availability of arctic versions capable of working up to minus 50 degrees Celsius. Another eye catcher was the SB-60 boom prop allowing lifting 60 tonnes at the 6 m radius.

The people in the trade had noticed strong sales of Dressta pipelayers to other markets, especially to the prestigious and demanding domestic and overseas projects executed by the Chinese, so our presence in Perth was not unexpected.

Delivery of 30 units of SB-60 to CPP

Dressta Asia Pacific through our Beijing based distributor for all of mainland China, Delaisaita recently completed the delivery of thirty - (30) units of our popular 511-ton operating weight, 72-ton max lift capacity SB-60 to China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPP). CPP join a growing list of Chinese based pipeline contractors that have purchased our pipelayers.

This latest delivery adds to an already impressive fleet of Dressta pipe-layers CPP have purchased that include the existing forty units of SB-60, six units of SB-30 operating weight 28.88 ton with lift capacity of 33.35 ton and to top it all off 24 units of the king of the pipe-layers the SB-85 weighing in at 61 ton with a max lift capacity of 100 ton.

Only recently the 24 units of SB-85 have returned to China after successfully completing the first ever project undertaken by CPP outside their home country, the 2000 kilometre, 1220 mm east-west pipeline in India’s northern and western provinces. CPP successfully bid for six of the eight sections of the project with a total distance of 1200 kilometres of 1220 mm diameter pipe.

This latest delivery will be split over three spreads to complete projects undertaken by CPP. The first nine will concentrate on the seven thousand kilometre “second west-east pipeline” lowering in 1220 mm pipe from Xinjiang Autonomous province in west of China to Zhengzhou in east (middle) of China, then to Guangzhou in south of China, the owner of the pipeline is China National Petroleum Co (CNPC). The balance of the order has been split between the countries of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, on the Middle Asian pipeline. Project length overall is 3000 kilometres, lowering in 1067 mm pipe.

Management for CPP quoted that repeat orders for Dressta product resulted from initial order of units availability on projects, quality of product, ability of the manufacturer to adapt to their requirements and strong product support no matter the location. Praise was given for the technical design and compact operating area of the Dressta pipelayer models in relation to lifting capacities. Especially so the vertically hinged counter weights as opposed to our competitors when working in closed quarters.
